I received a registration override, when will it appear on my student account?
You can expect to receive confirmation from the EPEO office within one business day. Our staff processes faculty and student requests in the order in which they are received. How do I log into EMU–Online?
To access your course(s), direct your Web browser to emuonline.edu. Your login ID is your EMU Student ID (EID or E#). Your EID is a nine-character code comprised of the letter "E" followed by eight numerical digits. For example, an EMU Student ID/EID would look similar to this: "E00000000".

You can locate your EID on the bottom of your student ID card, or by going to my.emich.edu and clicking the "How do I get my student ID and PIN?" link.

Your www.emuonline.edu password can be retrieved here. To retrieve your password, enter your first and last name into the space provided and your User ID (which is your EID) or your EMU email address.

Once you login to EMU–Online, you have the option of changing the password you have been issued. To change your password, click the "Home PSH" tab located on the upper left and then click on the "User Profile" link also located on the left-hand side of the page. Feel free to enter any other data that you wish to share with your instructor, such as home and work telephone numbers. Once you change your password, you will need to click the "Update" button to save the changes you entered. Please be aware that the system can take up to 30 minutes to reset your password after you submit the changes.

Why can’t I see all of my online courses when I log into EMU-Online?
You should verify your course registrations. Online courses have a campus code that starts with WW. If what you believe is an online class does not have a campus code of WW, it is not an online course.

Fully online courses may not appear prior to the start of the term. Typically, prior to the first day of your class, the EMU–Online staff is completing instructor requests. Some of these requests require system changes which cause some classes to appear missing to students. On the first day of classes, or at any point during the term, if you do not have access to your fully online course(s), you should contact the EPEO office at 734.487.1081 or emuonline@emich.edu.

What is a time-out and what can I do to prevent it?
EMU-Online is set to time-out after 45 minutes of inactivity. To stay online, you need to save your work, which sends your changes to the server, or change pages, which asks the server to download the new page. Both restart the “idle” clock to extend your time. When typing online, you are actually just working on a cached, or saved, page you've already downloaded to your computer, so your connection is idle. Until you save the changes you’ve made, you are not making connection with that online server, so you run a greater risk of being disconnected. Save, at least, every ten minutes, or so to ensure you are not timed-out of your online course session.
