Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction

The Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction at EMU is designed to bring together teachers of grades K–12 to study curriculum and instruction spanning the grade levels. Teachers learn leading edge curriculum design and effective classroom practice, and how these ideas affect teaching in a multicultural society.

This program is designed for full-time practicing professional educators and emphasizes practical application as well as theoretical understanding. It is particularly appropriate for curriculum supervisors and individuals interested in curriculum issues that are important across grade levels or subject areas.

The program provides you with principles and practices you can immediately apply in the classroom. The principles you'll learn have proven extremely valuable for individuals involved with curriculum issues across grade levels or subject areas.

Graduates of the curriculum and instruction program work as professional educators, as district curriculum coordinators, department heads or in leadership positions in the education field.
