Master of Science in Physical Education Pedagogy
The Master of Science in Physical Education Pedagogy program at EMU is designed to prepare physical education curriculum leaders who want to make a difference in the quality of life for young people in schools. This program develops leaders who demonstrate reflective thought and scholarship within the context of a culturally diverse society. This degree continues the development of advanced knowledge, values and skills as they relate to healthy lifestyles. Technological resources will be adopted wherever possible in the program, as will opportunities for field-based experiences. Attention will be given to meeting the needs of all students, including athletically gifted and physically challenged students.
Career Opportunities
The objective of the program is to expand the professional knowledge, skills and leadership qualities of physical educators and other exercise science professionals. This program will be of interest to teachers from K–12, as well as those keen to move on to doctoral studies.

The EMU College of Education is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and approved by the Michigan Department of Education for the preparation of educational personnel.
