Master of Science in Quality Management
The Master of Science in Quality Management was developed using the American Society for Quality (ASQ) body of knowledge required for the Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), and Certified Quality Auditor (COA). A student in this program will master a variety of methods that include the human factors that influence quality and statistical techniques for continuous product and process improvement. Our students are typically mid-career individuals with quality-related responsibilities in areas such as manufacturing, social services, food services, printing, finance, education, construction, engineering, health care and government. The program can be tailored to meet the diverse needs of any organization seeking to improve. Out-of-state students can take EMU–Online courses at Michigan in-state tuition rates.

The quality management program is designed to:
- Prepare personnel to assist organizations in meeting their need for continuous quality improvement in order to remain competitive.
- Provide education in quality management to organizations located throughout the world.
- Facilitate the needs of quality management professionals in attaining professional certification.
- Provide graduate education in quality management to meet the needs of adult learners.

Quality Program Conditional Requirements
- Conditional coursework is to be completed before starting the degree program.
- Develop a sequence of prerequisite needs in consultation with an adviser.
- Conditionally admitted students may validate their competencies by taking undergraduate courses, testing out of courses, or by well-documented experience.
